I never understood the hatred of this band. Sure, they could border on cheesy at times and their fanbase was annoying as fuck but during their heyday they were better than 90% of just about everything else on the radio at the time. I feel like most of the hatred of this band comes from their fanbase and image rather than their actual music and isn’t hating a band solely for it’s image just as bad as liking a band for the same reason?

This album was the sole reason I made it through high school. I’ll always be in debt to Gerard Way and his band mates. Every time I listen to a song from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge I tell myself how lucky I was for finding it as a teen.
